The following fruit and vegetable parts should not be juiced. Do not run these food items through your juicer:
- Grapefruit and orange skins contain a mild toxin and taste bitter anyways.
- Apple seeds contain small amounts of toxins, remove the seeds from apples before juicing.
- Do not put mildly toxic carrot or rhubarb greens into your juicer.

Which Fruits And Vegetables Are You Juicing?
Different types of juicers work best with certain types of produce. Centrifugal juicers
, which operate at very high speeds, are best to use with bigger more solid produce like apples and carrots. Masticating juicers
also work well with leafy greens and soft berries. These juicers are good with thinner or softer produce that needs to be squeezed and grinded to extract all of their juices.
Are you primarily a citrus fruit juicer? Then a simple juicer like the Black & Decker CJ525 CitrusMate Plus Citrus Juicer
is all you need.
Determine which produce you want to juice and find the juicer that best meets your needs.
